6. The “Greige” Kitchen with Greenery
Sometimes the best green isn’t paint—it’s the living, breathing kind. A “greige” (grey-beige) kitchen is a massive trend right now. It’s slightly cooler than traditional beige, making it feel very modern. By filling the space with an abundance of indoor plants, you create a “green” kitchen without ever opening a paint can.
How to Make
Paint your cabinets a soft greige. Install a natural stone countertop like limestone, which has a beautiful, natural beige texture. Then, fill every available corner with varying sizes of plants—trailing pothos on top of cabinets, a large fiddle leaf fig in a corner, and small succulents on the window sill. The plants provide all the green you need.
Things Needed
- Greige cabinet paint
- Natural limestone countertops
- Assorted indoor plants (Pothos, Fiddle Leaf Fig)
- Terra-cotta or beige ceramic pots
- Watering can (kept as a display item)
