9. Corkboard Memory Calendar

This idea blends planning with keepsakes. Instead of erasing the month as it passes, you pin it — ticket stubs, snapshots, birthday cards, and small notes all become part of the record.
Materials: Cork tiles or a cork roll, a frame, a backing board, washi tape, push pins in mixed colors, and small printed photos.
How to make it: Glue cork tiles to a backing board cut to size, then set the whole thing into a frame. Lay out a grid with washi tape, which peels off cleanly if you want to rearrange. Mount with two anchors for stability, since cork plus frame adds up in weight.
Time and difficulty: About an hour. Beginner-friendly.
How to use it: Keep the top half for the current month’s schedule and the bottom half as a memory zone. At the end of each month, move a few favorite pins into a shoebox and start fresh.
Display suggestion: Hang it in a hallway where people pass by daily. A calendar you have to walk to a spare room to check tends to get ignored.
